Effects on our lives TODAY
There are a few obvious effects the war had on our lives, for example if we didn't have the war we wouldn't have our free country to begin with and we would still be considered part of Britain. There are some other effects too, some of our laws and amendments are based off of things that happened during the war, like the 2nd amendment, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed," or the 3rd amendment, "No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law."
